Well, it’s been a rather windy week with trees being blown down all around the valley. Then today we caught the tail end of another heavy weather system, bringing cold winds and heavy rain. But hey – this is Northumberland – why should we cancel a barbecue?
Despite rainfall so heavy that it extinguished the bonfire, more than 60 of us ascended the hill to Cartington Farm. Just as the games of rounders finished (who says you can’t run in wellies?), the skies cleared to a beautiful rainbow in time for the barbecue and as the moon rose in the sky the children sang a few of their favourite songs to the assembled family members.
Remember, it’s never too late for your child to join either Kid’s Club or Midway – we’d love to see you at 1800-1900 or 1900-2030 on Fridays in term time.
