Carols (not) in the Mart

Posted in Amy and Zeb, Services, and UCCT

Every year, the churches of Upper Coquetdale meet together to put on a combined carol service in the old Mart in Rothbury. It is both an amazing show of unity in our faiths but also a really special way to share the real story of Christmas in our community.

Because of the coronavirus restrictions, this year’s service has had to be streamed online, but it still contains all of the readings, prayers and carols found in the Mart each year.

Whilst all of the Churches provided readings and prayers for the service, Armstrong Hall was able to provide a covid-secure location for musicians and singers to perform the carols live. We also managed to arrange a “social-tree” distanced visit from Amy and Zeb with their Christmas message.

So, on behalf of all of us at Armstrong Hall, we wish you a safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
